If a person came up with an idea to double the mileage the fuel companys would jump on it in a second. They would have it on the market by the end of the week. Just think, they'd say, "We have to charge $5.00 a gallon due to the loss of volume." Same profit, less work. It's the American way!

My father knows a guy that invented a carb that ran a 350 small block on straight purified H2o with only a few other mods to the engine. EPA ,or whoever is in charge of that stuff, was there within the week and took the carb, engine, and all notes he had and told him that if he EVER built another contraption like that again, they would return and take further action and promised that it would be quite uncomfortable. That was 23 years ago. If it could be done then, it could be done now.

BTW, the guy that invented this was Amish....
