Question ? about the 'Whistler'

If I use the upper & lower factory rubber 90 degree elbows, will the part #'s(ie. same dimensions) for the 2 pieces of aluminum tubing still be the correct size to fit the elbows & the Amsoil filter? This may sound confusing but what I'm trying to do is save $$$ & buy as little as possible. TIA

The filter is a 6" inner diameter - the factory 90's are only 5" (I think). Trust me, it's worth the extra couple of $$ to make this awesome intake. I think total I spent, including the outer cover, was about $140. Compare that to any aftermarket intake and you will be VERY happy you went this way...

Thanks Harley, but with all the $$ I'm putting into this dang truck, I'm staring to run dry w/ my current build-up(Goerend tranny, intake, Smarty, etc.). So if I can make the factory elbows work, every little bit helps! Does anyone else know fur sure?

If you want to run the factory elbows then you will need to buy some 5.5" tube for the middle and 4" tube for the filter connection.
and buy a 4" filter instead of the 6" ....make sense???

Well, I went the w/ the way it was originally done for $117.22. Not too bad! Do ya'll think I need a prefilter(Outerwears) if I'm running the Stage I version? Thanks
