A5000 larger exhaust housing and wastgate installed

well i finally got the truck out of the shop after having installed a larger exhaust housing and wastegate on my a 5000.i can definatley say it is now a mother to spool, takes a good 30 seconds to spool and i see about 1250 while spooling, after launch under 1400,egts are way down.the wastgate was machined into the housing and is operating off of back pressure,so it opens up at about 45 psi of boost.before hand i could peg a 65psi gauge at will.also i used to be able to spool the charger in an instant.i didnt have any pressure in the smarty tune and no pressure box added.hopefully the mp 8 will help in spool up.thanks to Eric and Clint at ATS for working with me on the design.also a big thanks to CAR motorsports for doing the fab work and getting it all together.two weeks till the rock,i hope it is still in one piece by then...

HOLY CRAP! You're running a 5k with a larger housing? I bet that thing takes forever to spool... You're running it as a single?

Dang it, man... do you sled pull? This can't be a street truck...

in talking with ATS about the boost i could push with the 5000,they wernt crazy wit me running nos for fear of overspeeding the charger.so ATS machined a wastegate into a 1.0 housing.what kind of external wastgate did you have in mind?

actually with a small tune the truck spools pretty well,it is when i load in a bigger fuel tune that it is laggy.i have since played with the smarty and added a pressure box and it spools much faster.i dont sled pull,i like to race..
