64/65/14 s480 twins?
I have a htt 64/65/14 and want to do that over a s480 and have some questions about the set up:
Is the 65mm exhaust wheel too small for a twin set up?
should I get the 71mm wheel put in it?
what size pipe will be need for the hot pipe?
what would spool up be like? (really laggy or decent)
Thanks for the help!

It should be real good!
I ran a 64/71/13ss and it was good and yours should spool up quicker than mine did for around town daily driving. On the strip however, mine had zero lag when boost braked.
I had to sell my twins and am now getting ready for a new set and am considering using my 62/65/13ss over an s400. I think that setup should spool nicely too. I'd really like to here from someone with that combo of turbos.

That would be a sound bet
I remember your mishape. I was actually considering a set like this for towing. I was only worried about the drive pressure of the 65 wheel but I don't think it would be that bad. I am acutually kinda gun shy right now, alot of folks are doing the meltdown dance with the CR trucks. I beat you have some goodies in that engine though.
On the twins I struggle with just the right combo for drag. I have NO interest in anything else. So the issue is to find that set that will let you maximize your launch & spooling but yet have enough to pull hard the entire 1/4 vs maybe a bigger set that won't get you there et wise the quickest but will make the bigger power on the dyno which is why you frequently see guys who make huge dyno power that don't cut it on the strip or don't even bother since a more moderate truck setup will kick their ****.
I'm not suggesting this is the ultimate setup but it is one I intend to try or at least I would like some feedback on it from someone who has, and if our other mods are similar, then it may give me a window into what I could expect.
For those who have been around for awhile,... I say remember RC *** and his setup, and nothing was huge in his setup. He made the most out of what he had IMO. Nice guy who knew enough to go to a really bright guy for a lot of setup help.

I would be worried about the 65mm turbine whell causing high drive pressure.
I just had Engineered Diesel put a 68mm turbine wheel in mine.
They said it flows just as much as the 71mm and will spool faster.

I run a 62/71/13ss with a s-480 now. Spool is equivalent to my 64/71/13ss that I had built from Engineered Diesel. And the pull from 0-132 is just insane. I haven't even got these turbo's dialed in because of the fact not having studs yet. Yet, I am pretty impressed with what they can do and how Daily Driveable they are with the Smarty on Level 8,TM 4, TQ 2.
