600 w/ Quad & VA 3.2 Dyno?
#31
I don't have any dyno numbers but I stacked my race box with the 3.2 and it made quite a bit of power. It also smoked like a train. Too much smoke and power for me actually. I took the quad off just after a day of running it. Both boxes are for sale if anyone is interested.

I started another thread on this, but thought I would add it here so it is all-together and easier to find.
I got my VA 3.2, and have it stacked with the Quad standard. I am waiting on Quad's monitor, so for now I have been taking it somewhat easy. All impressions are pretty much complete though, due to a lack of fuel on the top end. Don't have enough fuel to maintain wot runs, so didn't have to worry about egt's so much.
First impressions;
1.) Quad @ 100/VA 3.2 off: I got a little boost in low-end power, and more smoke. Boost builds quickly, and cleans up all of the smoke.
2.) Quad @100/VA 3.2 @ 65hp: Slightly more power on the bottom end from a stop. Lots more smoke. Almost too much. Best gain, was cruising at ~70 mph. Lots of power added at this point, as long as I stay at ~3/4 throttle. It took significantly less pedal to maintain the same level of performance the Quad had on its own. There is a little power lost on the very top end. Turbo had a hard time cleaning up all the smoke at WOT. Slight popping and fluttering. Rail might be running dry?
3.) Quad @ 100/VA 3.2 @ 130: Lots of smoke until boost builds. Smoke clears, then once you get to the ~2900 rpm, you get a constant heavy haze. Turbo cannot clean up all of the smoke. Too much smoke, and seem to be running out of fuel. Popping, and fluttering sounds. Definite Loss power at wot. I believe this smoke is due to the rail running dry.
4.) Quad @ 0/ VA off: Puff of smoke, and slight gain on very bottom end. Due to boost fooling? I didn’t have this before, even with the Quad on high.
5.) Quad @ 0 / VA 3.2 @ 60 and 130: Lots of smoke on the bottom end. Good power, but seems like a little less than The quad box.
6.) Quad @ 30 / VA 3.2 @ 60 and 130: Didn't seem to gain much over just the VA 3.2; might have lost a little on the top end. Need more fuel?
7.) Quad @ 60 / VA 3.2 @ 60 and 130: Not much gained over just the VA 3.2; maybe a little less smoke. Popping and fluttering at wot.
Overall;
I need more fuel. I will add a pump while I am waiting on Quad to start shipping monitors. I am very interested to see how much power is being lost due to low pressure. I am also curious to see if the cp3 can supply enough fuel to the rail once I have a better supply of fuel to it. The gentleman I bought the VA 3.2 off of was using it on a 600 truck, and seemed to have the same results. I am sure of one thing. It has lots of potential to fuel really hard. I just need to see what it takes to bring the supporting cast of parts up to the same level. Even if I was to stop right here, (not counting adding a better supply pump for reliability rather than performance), It was well worth it for the cruising power gained. At 70 mph and ½ to ¾ throttle, it actually seems like I picked up 100 rwhp over the quad on 100.

Hoehand, that's a very good description and exactly my experience with the quad/va. I wish I had enough money to upgrade my truck to handle everything the boxes had to offer. For the time I ran this combo, I know I killed a lot of miles that my trans could have lived I sure do miss them but my wallet and trans are happier

At the very least you need an upgraded lift pump. A new modded CP3 will make it even better. Also plan on a fuel pressure gauge.
Don't forget the upgraded auto or new clutch to hold it all.
