Could you switch the driveshaft to a CV style? I've got a Wrangler with a LT1/4L60E combo and CV's solved many problems including strength.

Not much...other than having a custom work don to the axle...indexing the caster relationship to the pinion differently than stock (requires rotating the axle shafts in the center housing). I don't think you should have a problem with pinion angle...others do not. Maybe something else is causeing the vibration...wheel out of balance? Put you stockers back on and take a drive (or borrow someone elses for a test). All front end vibration will be felt through the transfer case since the front driveshft is always spining.
