so what boost levels were you seeing and for how long before it let go? im going to a silver bullet 66 this summer,but it will never top 60lbs. noticed your running twins now. you had studs if i remember your sig?

I ran a silver 66 all last season. I think that from it with 3.3's might have pushed it to far with High Drive pressures. I had no symptoms of a blown haed gasket with the 66 on. Although, once I put the twins on The larger volume of air Pushed past the gasket immiediatly. I ran the 66 @ 60+psi of boost. I've seen 70+psi out of the twins.

Is there something on the pistons, or am I seeing the first signs of melting at the top/back of these two below?

jtharvey i was wondering when someone was gong to say something about those pistons... i looked at them then started reading the posts and thought how come everyone is saying looks good when theirs a bunch of pits in the piston. lol after looking closely you can tell its water

It's hard to tell sometimes from a pic whether it's a bubble or a pit. Like one of those optical illusion drawings...are the stairs right side up or upside down?

ya it looks like it but When a piston is burnt it has a lot of other signs of it being toasted. Rest assure there just bubbles from oil and coolant. Maybe I should have wiped it off Before I snapped the pics

Admittedly, I haven't seen many melted pistons that weren't completely wasted. I had to ask.

i still think u need to just use the stock head bolts torqued to 160 and u will be fine!!!!
