5" Stainless Steel Exhaust Tip Installed

I know it isn't a big deal but I thought I'd share. I just installed the 4" -> 5" stainless steel tip I got from www.scheiddiesel.com and I'll tell you what, it is nice. I've been meaning to order one for a while but I kept putting it off. I just happened to find scheid on Google and their prices were so good I almost didn't order, thinking the tip would be a POS but I decided to give it a try. After receiving the tip and SS clamp today, I am more than impressed. The tip seems to be quality made (it is a SilverLine?) and the clamp looks good and works fine. Total cost to me was under $40 shipped. And some pics:

Boring stock exhaust that leaves my bumper blackened...

...and after the 5" tip is installed.

I know, I know.... a lot of pics for a silly old exhaust tip, but I like it. So

I got a 12" tip from Genos and did cut off about 6" of tailpipe. Your tip looks cool.

I didn't cut any off but the stock exhaust is about 3/4 of the way into the tip. You can't see if though, so I don't care. I played with different lengths of the tip sticking out and went with this because I wanted the tip sticking out PAST the bumper so it will stop getting black, and to keep the drone/noise down when I straight pipe 'er soon.

Exhaust tip mounted

Make sure you have someone put a few small tack welds on it to hold it to the pipe so someone doesnt steal it. I have heard of it before.

I made my own from a tractor trailer stack, but I still get the soot buildup on the bumper. Now I dont even bother washing it off. Pics in gallery.
