Does that 6" tip go directly onto the 5" pipe? Where did you get the tip from? Thanks!

No problems this year or last, Scott. I've had it inspected by different shops both years, no questions asked other than "How do you like your truck?" and "What kind of mileage do you get?"

Thanks Dave. This truck of mine is too quiet, and I'm wondering how it would sounds if the muffler, ah....fell off.....

Mike, what brand of exhaust is that? Is it aluminzed?

OK... I won't say what I paid but I will say get your homework done then give Rip Rook
a try at....

http://www.protintnw.com/sa-main.htm

His website does not list what I bought... you have to ask.

The tip is actually a 4-6" polished stainless tip that he plasma cut for me where it tapers up to slide onto the 5" tailpipe. I'll have it welded.

I found another place that would custom make a 5-6" polished stainless for like $194. I paid half that for the tip.

The exhaust is aluminized and came with one strap clamp for the 4-5 transition pipe, a bunch of heavy steel stock style weld on hangers but no 5" muffler clamps. I'm gonna ask about that. He recommended the system this way as it can be custom fit the way I like it. He says no two trucks are the same so I cut one of the straight 5" lengths to finalize it.

It looks like good quality workmanship. I'll see how it fits up later in a week or so. I want to get the H2 rims/tires on first. Busy busy

Oh. never had a problem with inspection.

In PA the turbo charger meets the needs of noise cancelling device between engine and exhaust exit location. Been running straight for 10 years now.

Well the shops want $200 to install it so I just ordered a Miller 135 Mig. Reason is the 1/2" hangers need to be welded in place after it's all in position. Still can't decide if I'll use strap clamps at the 5" connections or just weld the whole thing.

It's always something Scott....

Last night there was a racoon under my daughters bed. NO JOKE.

Musta snuk in during the 15 minutes I had the door and garage door open, unattended.
