5" exhaust and spare tire?

Will they fit? I currently have a 4" exhaust and a 35" spare, it fits ok, probably a half inch of room between them...

If not, could I build a spacer to keep the cable tight, and just have the spare a little lower? I would know this if I could see the truck, but I'm not anywhere near it at the moment... I wonder if it would get in the way of the rear end.

I don't think 35's will work. I have a 5" with a 285/75/17 spare under mine, & it barely fits. I guess you could have the turn out in front of the rear tire, & not have to worry about it.

i just put my 5 inch exhaust on last night and theres no way that the exhaust will fit with a 35 inch spare tire. the spacer thing is a good idea but i tried installing the exhaust with the spare tire in place and it hit right at the bottom of the tire. i couldnt raise the exhaust to the rear hanger what so ever. im sure theres a way to do it, just gotta look into more. let me know if you figure something out and ill do the same.

I had both on my '05, fit just fine.
5" exhaust and a 315/70/17 spare, the exhaust touched the tire in the back just before it went out the side but never did any damage to the tire...

Well, we'll just have to see what happens. I have MT's for tires on the truck, but I have a AT off a H2 for a spare (It was a take off that was used, I did not want to spend 200 bucks for something I'd probably never use...)

I have also heard the yes/no stuff before, I guess it works on some, and not others. I'm planning to go down to a 305 or 295 later this year, too.

Just a cheapo expandit kit

There really is plenty of play just with how you orientate the last section of exhaust that goes out, if you angle to go more out the side than further out the back theres still room for a 35" spare...

Sorry I dont think I have any pictures from underneath there to show it, but it did fit fine.

I got mine from a tire place, it only had about 30% tread on it, but was still in great shape. I think I paid 30 bucks for it. Still never had to use it.

Isn't a 315 a little smaller than a 35" so you may just have enough room. When I had my 5" there was no way my 35" would fit.

My tire wasn't the problem with my 5" exhaust, it was my 5th wheel hitch that was hitting. So I had to cut my radius' down in the bends and tig weld it all back together.

As far as the spare, I don't run one because I always have two on hand all the time! lol! DUALLY
