I bought my 05 in 2006 with 3200 miles on it for $32k. I have several people who want to buy it off me for $32k. It's a garage kept 65k mile immaculate truck with tasteful upgrades/mods. Back in 2006, I looked at new "employee pricing" 2006s but they were all autos. I only saved $5k buying used but I didn't like the rock hard seats of the 06 and really wanted a NV5600 since my truck is used for truck duties, not daily driving, so reliability was my main concern. As much as I'd love a new 2015, I'll stick with my hand shaker for a few more years at least. As one poster mentioned, the 2013+ DEF trucks seem to have the issues resolved to some degree and it sounds like mileage is way up on them over the 08-12 trucks.

"Roadmedic" member might disagree with you on the 3rd genner commonrail not lasting as long,i believe his 07 5.9 went over 900,000(17,000 plus hours) miles before it let go----all stock truck.
That's encouraging. My 12v only has 400000+ miles. Sure hope the CR will go 900000 but if it doesn't the 12v is going in it.
