4in lift?
#3
I went the superlift route as well, and the Bilstein replacement shocks, I have been very happy with my cheap set up.
I have heard people talk about spring sag, etc....I have had none of those issues as of yet, and I can still pull gooseneck trailers, and it handles what I throw at it offroad. But what I throw at my 35K truck offroad is not too extreme...that is why they make toyotas and jeeps
Are there better lift options out there? YES! But the superlift has suited me well, hopefully one day I can build my "perfect" truck, but for now, I really like how this one handles things

The real question is what do you want to spend? Lifts can go from $700 up to $2000+ for a real top choice kit.
I spent $750 for my 4" Tuff Country lift & I added better shocks & a steering stabalizer. The truck rides close to stock but it's a little ruff on bad roads. With a 4" lift, nice wheels & tires you will never look at your truck the same again. And that's a good thing.
If your truck is going to see pavement most of it's life like most of the trucks here I would opt with a nice riding lift. I was cheap at the time and went with the cheapest lift. My truck never realy sees offroad so I wish I would of went with a nice Carli/Lorenz/Kelderman lift. Like I said before, it's all what your money allows.
Another thing I forgot to mention. You can have the nicest lift made but if you go with a cheap low quality tire you will be hating life & your truck at the same time. Don't skimp on nice shoes!

i have superlift springs and dual steering stabilizer as part of my set up and am very happy with it. as far as rough off road ride, if you air down like you're supposed to when you hit the trail your softer tires will eat up a lot of the rough stuff.

I like my 6" lift from topguncustomz...I upgraded to the Bilstein 5100 shocks and the skyjacker dual steering stabilizer and i love the way it rides. I think the whole kit ran for about 1200 including shipping. So it's all what you want to spend and what your preference is.
But like Nate said...don't get cheap tires or you'll be kicking yourself in the a$$...

the max I wanna spend is like $1200 maybe a bit over and Im running 35x12.50x20 toyo mts with motometal M0954 but it rubs hardcore with a leveling kit.... i need to update my signature

That setup rubs because of the backspacing of the motometal wheels. Even with a 4" lift you MIGHT have a few rubbing issues still. Are yuo running a 10" wide wheel?

Wolf,
I have the KORE Recon and it made an unbelievable difference in the ride quality and capability of my truck. I take a logging road to work every day, and used to be limited to 35 mph. I can safely drive 65 on that road now while sipping my coffee. Good shocks and softer springs make a HUGE difference. Makes a huge difference in ride quality on road as well: especially shines on concrete freeways.
My brother has a Thuren kit on his 06 CTD which is very similar. The differences are the sway bar set-up (extensions vs relocation blocks) and the front coils. I've put both through the ringer, and the KORE system definitely rides softer thanks to the Variable Rate Springs from KORE. The rear Deaver mini leafs are the same on both kits; replaces the factory overload springs to give a more progressive spring rate (slightly softer ride without killing your payload). Both of us have Bilstein 5100's.
Both kits are at the top of your price range, but they are well worth the money! You may be able to find some used Bilstein 5100's in the classifieds (they pop up here occasionally when guys upgrade to FOX or KING shocks...like I want to do).
I cannot recommend the Thuren Track bar too highly (you can buy that seperately, but Don will cut you a deal if you buy it with his kit). It will make all the difference in the way your truck drives. Suspension will feel much more stable and steering is dramatically improved. Should be mandatory equipment with 35's.
My $.02
2005 QCLB. KORE Suspension. Thuren TB. Pro-COMP Xtreme AT 35X12.5. Goerend Billet TC, VB, etc. BD Billet Flexplate. BDTD. Diamond Eye 5" Turbo Back. AFE Stage II. AMSOIL Bypass filter.
