48RE TV cable adjustment

48RE TV cable adjustment
Had some 2-3 flare up after install of the BD VB. Need to adjust the tv cable. Any advise? Was told to hold throttle down then adjust. Should I just adjust all the slack out of the cable or go alittle more? Have to say the BD VB got rid of my 1-2 hunting. Very nice piece.

You don't want much slack in the tv cable. When you touch the peddle you want the tv cable to move. If it is shifting too late you can move the clip for 1/8" more slack or if the tranny is shifting too soon move the clip 1/8" for less slack to shift later. No more or you could damage your tranny as this raises your line pressure when you need it.

Billy, thanks for the advice. Adjusted already and my 2-3 flare is gone. Shifts a tad late but ok for now. How do you like you 66/14? How is spool up and will it cool your HP, what EGT'S? Wait that might be too big, maybe a 64/14 or 62/13ss. I have another project with similar mods to my current truck (sig) and was considering a similar turbo. Will it tow under 10k ok?

I've been running the sledpuller 66 for quite a while and with my tune it spools very well. It's a bit slower than a 62/12 getting to 10 lbs but I have my truck tuned where it's very driveable on the street and at 50lbs of boost it keeps things cool.

Are you using bigger injectors and what smarty sw are you running. I am running 550hp. Just want to say the BD vb eliminated my hunting between shifts, something that has bothered me for a long time. Something BD says they have eliminated and I can't be happier.
