400,000 Miles on 2005... What now?
#46
Last year, a guy on eBay sold an 03 with 630,000 miles on it, of continuous towing. Original engine and trans. Even the seats still looked ok. I say keep the truck until lots of stuff starts breaking, thne buy a used '06 or '07 wirth a 5.9l.

Still smelled new and still had some plastic covering interior area.I had to do a double take at the mileage! He left middle of nowhere Texas in wee hours with four horses on board.Went to Seneca Nebraska, loaded two more(mine) and then got to my place(Ila Georgia)near Athens Ga. at about 7:30 pm.We gave him a map quest to get back to interstate and the other four horses were getting delivered in Myrtle Beach S.C. Then he was getting a room and staying the night. To much driving for my body.

Transmission work fine. Since the miles seem to be drawing attention I should let everyone know this truck has not had a taste of synthetic oil. I ran a additive from Muscle Products in all my fluids. I am a believer in keeping the fluids changed. This includes the rear ends. I've went through alot of oil and fuel, but my bailout check still has not arrived...
