4 wheel drive peel out WITH VIDEO

Don't get me wrong, 'cause I like the power these trucks make as much as the next guy, but I'm trying to figure out what the thrill is in drag racing a 7,000 lb. truck? It seems if drag racing was my forte I'd buy an Evo IX or the likes.
Ah well, different power strokes for different folks.

I wonder what it would cost to buy a new Evo and put it in the low 11's compared to what it would cost to buy a new 2500 QC and put it in the low 11's.

The point of me making MY truck fast is that I need a practical vehicle but love speed and power. I can't pull my 31' TT with a sports car, or stuff 6 people in it if needed. Not to mention (guess I just did) the blizzard we had here last Thursday.

but that evo cant carry a cord of firewood, 30 sacks of concrete, 2 yards of peagravel, 20 sheets of plywood, or haul my 34' travel trailer.
Like you said, different strokes.

Easy there buddy. Some people happen to like big mean trucks and some people happen to like import tuners. I happen to like both, as well as classic and muscle cars, and have owned all of the above. Go for a ride in a Lancer that has been modded, and see if you still think it's a little girls car. In my opinion, even a PINK VW BUG isn't a little girls car if it's going 11.50s at over 115mph, and is capable of 140+mph.

classic and muscle cars are cool, I am just not a ricer fan. yeah yeah I know, they are fast but I think chicks look much better in them than me. I guess it is because I am a big guy and feel 10 times more comfortable in a larger vehicle.

Actually, this might sound crazy to you, but I wouldn't feel comfortable putting my daughter (if I have one) behind the wheel of an Evo, ESPECIALLY a decently modded one. They really ARE sickening fast. I used to have a supercharged 97' Z28 Camaro putting 537hp to the wheels with 3.73 gears and a 6 speed and wasn't even CLOSE to as fast as my buddy's Evo. I REALLY have to give the Japanese credit, they developed one of the easiest to modify and make EXTREMELY fast (not to mention one of the best and easiest handling) cars out there. They are easier to correct and after some mods faster/better handling than Murcielagos...nutty huh?

this is the 3rd gen forum! not the evo forum, start your own thread...unless you are spinning all 4 wheels in an EVO, then i guess you could stay in this forum!!!!
