Maybe 50* lower EGT's when I was a single turbo and over fueled.

Only reason for a 5" exhaust, IMO, is better sounding truck.

thats the way I feel I wanted a deeper tone for mine not that raspy sound the common rails have that sound like a weed eater. my buddy had 5" on his 01 and god it was loud even with the stock turbo. I couldnt imagine how loud it would have been with a big single turbo

Must be straight piped? My 5" with a muffler, was no louder than my 4".... just deeper tone.
I went straight pipe when I installed twins, but they act just like a muffler.
I have heard a st. piped 01 with a 62/71/13 turbo and it is obnoxious to my ears.... even driving behind it.
