Guys...we are only talking a 6-7% difference in RPM's. Spliting hairs here!
It is not a lube problem...not a pressure problem (converter is locked at highway speeds anyways...and fluid coupling happens at a much lower RPM anyways totally independant of you final gearing)...
There would be a minor increase in shock loading with lower rpms, but a savings in rotational wear (friction). Again...IMHO...a total wash and none issue.
I am happy towing at 2100-2200 RPM's on the highway....and guess I will just be passing you going 6-7% faster.
