3d gen twins
i have been thinking about building a set of twins using my stock hy-35 and an s400 i have some questions though.I would like to make around 550 hp what trim s400 would be the best one to use?is the internal waste gate in my hy35 big enough or should i use an external one also,or just an external waste gate?where is the best place to purchase an s400?part #s?

If 550 is all you want, why not just get a big single like a SPS 66? I made 555 uncorrected with mine, and I haven't had time to play with settings yet. With respect to twins, I think BD makes the nicest twins for 3rd gens. I've seen an 04.5 make about 565 with those without breaking a sweat.
If you want to use your stocker, then you should check out Mark Kendrick's twins. He uses an external wastegate, which should save your stock turbo from an early death, and more importantly your head gasket. The drive pressure from the Relentless Twins may eat your head gasket sooner or later. Better to relieve it with an external wastegate, for sure.

i would not think your stock hy would be big enough. However i would call haisley machine. they have some s4 turbos for sale and i think on there web site under wanted and for sale there is a used s4 that has only one or two passes down the track.

with a large waste gate on the small turbo to keep drive presures down and a bht3b that the bottom of the map is close to the hy35 hi end i think it would work well.but im no genius . just thought some one might have done some research on this.thanks
