37's and stock rims...

Mornin, DTR.

I've seen it done before, 37 mud terrians on stock rims with no lift... I'm about to do it. I got a smoking deal on some BFG 37 12.50 MT's...

I'm nervous. I have 35's on there now, and they rub a little at full lock, which does not bother me. I hope I'll be able to drive with these...

When I get them on, I'll post up.

If you have any experience with this, please comment!

37's with no lift? seems pretty tall. I can believe 35's- really think 37's will clear?

I saw a picture of a guy that had done it on another forum. Stock rims, stock ride height.

Should be fine, might have a hair more cusion on the fender up front with a leveling kit, but should still be ok with the 12.50 width...

Only thing is that a level kit will move the axle back due to the arc when the axles moves downward in travel.

Ture, with the stock control arms
There are some guys with a 2" levling kit and they still clear just fine, but like you said, artiuclating offroad might lead to some rubbing...

He should still be ok at stock height, if he doesnt get too crazy offroad

Thanks, fellas. I don't plan to go off road baja-ing... I have to pull off the road every now and then, but I don't take my mid 12's truck to the mud runs...

Really, I wanted to go smaller when I got tires this time, but a great deal is a great deal!!!

Besides hurting your 1/4 mile E.T...

You should be OK.

Unless you plan on jumping or running in the Baja 500 with it.

I had roughly 60-65% tread left on these 37s and the first pic it was slightly articulated, and still had about an 3/4"-1" of clearance. I have the spacers, but I think it'll clear depending on how much tread is on the tires.
