got my truck couple of months ago. I see 1500 on egt's and 37psi. I dont know what was done to the truck. Any ideas what may be running on my truck. Truck was a repo. I was thinking maybe smarty? any ideas? Truck lays some smoke but clears up fairly quick. I dont see any boost foolers anywhere or chips. Truck is faster then stock for sure.

Could be any DL, Bullydog, Smarty etc. my main concern would be when you tow. Do you tow and if so do you tow heavy? I would be very concerned if you do. You have no idea what the timing is set too and could roast the motor even though your EGTs may look ok.
I hate to say it but you may want to consider having a dealer flash it back to stock. JMO.

 

No I dont tow anything but I feel what your saying. Do you think I need a bigger turbo?

I'm curious about your question, as in your sig in your OP you have a smarty listed....?

 

I assumed it had it cause it has a high idle feature

 

I would reflash and start from a Point that you know from. 1500 is hot for a empty truck. Get it back to stock and start there, you will then have peace of mind.
