37" tire mpg

What mpg could I get with a set of 37s? I will run 4.10 gears with the 610 engine.

You will probably lose about 1.5 to 2 mpg with the larger tires.....

Wow, I'd be very happy only losing that much with those tires. Would I lose much in the way of acceleration or power?

It depends on . rolling resistant, you could get better mpg. It will be like you have 3.73 gears. I am going to put 35 or 37s on my truck to get better mpg on hwy.I always had big tires on all my trucks and van(made it a 4x4) and what you cal on paper is not always true. I also had 44 supper swampers on my toy with a 4cyl with 5.71 gears and mpg is not bad enough to conplane about.

FUN FACTOR WINS OVER MPG

I agree fully! What size lift should I get to compliment the tires?

Unless you get the correct wheels atleast a 6 inch lift. Offset is crucial. Which wheels were you thinking about.

I was thinking of Mazzi Hulk 20x10 wheels. They look sweet. Yes I did read my other post but was looking for a few more opinions. I don't wan't any surprises once I spend all that money on tires, wheels, lift.

I searched the net without being able to find the offset of the wheels. I saw a Ram 2500 with them along with 37s and they stuck out about 3" from the wheel wells. I hope that helps.

Well, if the offset is +20 or more you can probably get by with a 5 inch. If it is +19 or less you will definatley need atleast 6 inchs. If you get the info post it and i ll let you know what i think

The 20 inch wheels are heavy. I'd find out the total combination weight. if they stick out 3 inches, then you will need a big lift to make them fit and not rub the fenders in the rear.

Is the need for 37's for looks or actual offroad usefulness?

I run 37's with factory wheels and the KORE suspension which is about 2-5 inches.

Mileage and performance will drop, as should be expected. But you can add more power!
