My did the same thing!!!! Guess what the second one felt alot better at install, but didnt last as long, i went threw 3 3600 DD, and now im on the 3850, but its starting to give me trouble, next move is a triple, I hope you dont have the same problems i have had.
Peter is good about warranty so that will most likly be taking care of, i know guys that hook every wkend with thousands of miles on the 3600 and 3850s with no trouble for some reason i just got bad ones, and no i dont ride the clutch.

I'm dd'ing a Valair 3850 lever style. I've only got about 1,500 and one hook on it so far. Now you all have got me wondering if I'm going to have the same problem.
