35 stt 270 or toyo 320 each?

Looks like I am going to go with the 35's tomorrow. These are the prices each balanced and mounted. I have not seen the toyos in person but like the looks of the stt. What do you guys think for the price diff? Jim

Which Toyos? M/T or A/T? What diameter wheel? Are the STT E-rated?

toyo mt. mtt's are d rated. I don't tow much so probably not an issue for me. I have heard that the low ply tire builds less heat so there is more miles per tire but you know how rumors are. These are 35's on a 17 rim.

I don't see much diff in the tire except that everyone seems to like the toyos but I have to wonder if they are worth the extra money. What made you decide they were?

My 35X18 Toyo MT are E rated.

Got mine for $289 from Les Schwab which is great for 18" Toyo's

1.) E-rating. It does make a difference while towing.

2.) Reputation. A lot more good has been said then bad about the Toyos.

3.) Lack of reputation with the STT. Not enough information to make me choose them over the Toyos.

4.) Proven performance. The Toyos flat-out work! And they're smooth and quiet on the road.

Well I had to call my order in half an hour ago so I went with the Coopers. My buddy that runs the tire shop is going to go with the Toyos in the spring. They look almost alike from what I can tell and Coopers seem to work well for the people around here that have them. I saved 200 bucks but only will know if I really saved in the future. Thanks for the input. Jim

I've got the Coopers and I love them so far. Not too loud on the road and they ride good. Haven't had them long enough to really know about tread life, but so far they seem like they will do well.
