315's on 2WD
I put the 315/70/17 BFG ATs on the truck earlier this morning. They scrub very slightly at full lock but not enough to worry about. The tire I had before this was the 285/75 Toyo AT and it didn't scrub at all but they were bald at 40,000.
I figured someone else would want to see this since I couldn't really find anything on here about 2WD trucks

my next tires were going to be the TOYO 285's. how did they do for you. bald at 40k isnt a good sign. was it all towing miles or just regular wear and tear?
also do you have the 1.5" spacers up front?

what to put the same tire on my truck.. 4x4 with level kit and buschwacker pocket flares but wasn't sure if they would rub on the flares. See that you have flares on your truck, do they rub at all there or just the frame at full turn?

My truck mainly sees highway use. I occasionally tow but it's usually less than 10k and rarely do I see that. I read good reviews about the Toyos before I purchased them but I didn't have the same results. I kept them rotated and the air at 55 psi. They wore pretty evenly but did it quickly. I had 285/70 BFGs on my truck before the Toyos and got 55k out of them with the same type of use.
The truck has 2.5" spacers on the front. The tires don't have any issues rubbing on the fenders or flares, they rub on the sway bar at full lock.

I have a 2500 mega cab with a 1.5 inch Daystar spacer and a 3 inch body lift. Currently running 285/70/17 - I actually ran these with just the spacer.
I want to run 315/70/17 on stock rims. Do you think I will have any issues?

Heres mine! Daystar 1.5" up front, spacers flipped in the back, on Bilstein HD shocks. Tires are 285-75/20 Terra Grapplers on 20" Helo Cores.
Yours looks like a 4wd. Looks really good man.

Thanks Rick!! Your truck looks nice and those tires definately fill out the wheel wells! Yours is a 2wd right?
Are you running 285/75/20 or 285/55/20 - the post says 75 but your signature says 55. What is the overall diaeter of those tires?
Also you stated that you flipped some spacers in the back. Man I would really like to do that to get rid of the nose down look on these trucks - even with the 1.5 spacer, I am still 2.5 different front to rear! I looked on mine and didn't see a way to remove or flip anything. Can you tell me specifically what you did - maybe the 2004 to 2006 is a difference in the rear.
Here are some pics outside the garage. Forgive me as the truck is DIRTY!!!

If Leonesm was able to get 315's on with a 2.5" lift I don't see why they wouldn't work with a 4.5" (total) lift.
To lower the rear just remove the spacers between the axle and the springs.

Yep I was thinking that 35's would probably fit - may rub the sway bar at full lock...
Here are some pics of my rear setup - I don't see any spacers to remove. Maybe the 2006 and later Mega cabs are different....

i'll play. Here is mine.
35's, 2-3 inch spacer in the front, 2 inch block in the rear.
it think it looked great but it rubbed with my wheel offset, don't ask me the wheel dimensions I do not know.
Mine rubbed on the body panel and inner fender well. I would like to body lift it to be able to stuff 35's with no rubbing but I do not see that happening.
these are the 33's
