315/70/17 on a dually
Hey, new here, hopefully I'm not asking a old question.
I was told that you could run 315/70/17 on stock dually rims even though they are touching each other on the rear without having to run spacers. I was told to mount the tires on the truck with very low pressure then after the lugs are tight air them up to max. This would not allow the tires to rub because they are so tight to each other. I have seen numerous DRW trucks in my area running them like this.
Does any one here have experience running tires like this on their DRW trucks empty or towing?
Thanks in advance for the input.

No way, that is a very bad idea. You still run a very good chance of blowing tires. You never want tires touching each other in any way, that causes friction, and friction cuases heat, heat and wear cuase a blowout. It doesnt matter if you inflate them to 100psi they will still rub.
It might "work" but that doesnt mean it is a good idea.
Just do it right and get the spacer.
