i am going to use the jeep canister as well. no holes in the tank, no risk of water and contamination with using fuel proof RTV (which looks terrible in my opinion anyway) and it is a plug and play. I would rather spend the $92 and do it right and only take about 10 minutes to complete.

Hey guys, I have an '04.5 truck that originally came with the filter-mounted pump, but has since been changed to the in-tank pump. I'm with you on the Jeep fuel canister, but could I not just get a stock '04 (from filter-mounted pump) canister and put it in without brand/model jumping?

Yes you can do that. The problem is finding one. Once they retrofit it the old stuff goes back to Dodge. That's what happened to mine.

well I got the Airdog 150 & tank vent mod in I just filled up with a little over 36gallons in one shot
I took the truck down some steep hills on the way to fuel up...I was able to get the FP gauge to read 0 more then once but the truck never stumbled...the tank was so low the over head was flashing LOW FUEL!!!!
this was with a Vulcan drawstraw......
I will post the whole story in the morn.....

Hey 53 ******, you did not happen to measure exactly how long you cut the hose? If I have the same exact vehicle, could I not just do the same exact cut, to the millimeter? I must say, if I was you, I probably would have got the tube to where it fits perfect and not bothered taking it out and measuring it again. Just checking.
Thanx.

Zowie! I can't wait. That looks friggin awesome. I really look forward to your thread. I don't want to install it before I go on a short li,l trip for 5 days a couple hundred miles from home. But when I get back I am doing fuel upgrades. Vulcan draw-straw? Sounds interesting.

I was hoping the full write-up would be done today by the time I got off work, but it wasn't. Guess I will just have to wait until tomorrow to read it.
