2006 mileage today
Well, figured mileage posts are like gay family members....everyone wants to find out about them but nobody admits it in public....LOL
Went for ride to Myrtle Beach to see the new Bass PRo Shop there...I live in Charleston. So for past 10 days of ownership I have just used the overhead trip computer and eco avg watching my mileage as I burned the first full tank of diesel...here it is for stock 2006 CTD 610, auto tranny, 3.73, oe 265 tires, etc...no mods. Oh, she is the Inferno Pearl Red...so that makes her one of the faster ones made...LMAO
Overhead computations over past 10 days: 14.3mpg city/traffic/country mix
Manual computation of same mileage and fuel: 14.5mpg so the overhead is about dead on it appears.
Then after filling up and running her at 1800rpms (65mph) up to 2000rpms (70mph) up to myrtle and back.....here it is:
12.5 gallons of diesel used for 245 miles= 19.6mpg
So I am fairly pleased that the beast is doing this well with less than a thousand miles on her total. Cant wait to do the timing mod with either tone ring or ROKK sensor....and the air intake change.
Thanks for all the help so far...

Best I've hit so far is 18.42 MPG.... been averaging right around 15 now, but it's also alot colder up here now so we're probably on winter blend and I'm idling alot more...

I just completed a highway trip from the Dallas Area to the Memphis Area and some other highway driving in the area. Hand calculated 18.9 mpg going 70mph with the cruise control. 33,000 miles on the truck. Somewhere around 500 miles when I filled and calculated. Not to bad, but I felt like it might be a little better since I was "babying" it. I prefer to cruise a "little" faster than that....but it costs me at the pump.

Last week I went on a 600 mile round trip to my parent's place in northern PA. Mostly highway but up and down the "mountains" of north PA. I set the cruise at either 70 or 75 but still couldn't resist the urge to mash the go-pedal several times going up the hills. I averaged 17.2mpg with an NV5600, 4.10s and 315s. Not too bad but I'd like to get a little better. This was right before I installed the Juice so next highway trip I make we'll have to see what the milage difference is. Hopefully more, but I don't know if I'll be able to keep my foot out of it by then
Oh, my truck has just under 11K on the ticker.

I've got 7000+ on my '06 now. My mileage has continued to get better. I've got the 6 speed and can't figure out what gears i've got. When I put the 35's on, my highway mileage went way up.
If i keep it at 65 and just highway driving taking it easy to my girlfriends, im right at 23mpg. Its a flat easy haul. But if I run 70, it immediatly drops to 20 or less. I've made the run many times calculating the mileage as soon as I get off the highway and fill up again.
My rpms at 65mph are right at 2000 with the 35's. This sounds like the 3.73 or whatever the lower gear is, right?
Everyday driving and running the heck out of it, my mileage has steadily gone from 16mpg to almost 19mpg caluclated at the pump.

Sounds more like 4.10's. My 3.73 with stock tires cruises at 2000RPM @70

yeah, but isn't the 4.10 gears an option? its nowhere on the invoice. My brother swears I've probably got the 3.73 (he's got an '05 with 35's) and my RPMs are definately higher in sixth. He says its cuz I've got a different manual tranny.
