2003 waistgate modification

Hi there,

I have been looking into get a quadzilla boost fooler for my 2003 cummins. It says if you want maximum performance you have to change something in the waistgate to gain maximum potenial.

Just wondering if this is very required, is anyone running with this system? Do you need the system if you have a chip? I have upgrade my intake and exhaust and am thinking about more boost for the next step before doing the fuel pump and engine chip.

If I need a new spring kit for the waist gate, where abouts would I be able to order one online.

Thanks for your help

get an adjustable boost elbow off of ebay for like 20 bucks, or make one yourself, and if you still need a quad, I have one listed on ebay, pm me for the link.

Does the elbow mod produce much of a power gain? That's one cheap mod I've never done...

Not really. Will lower the EGTs.
Need more fuel for power gains.

the boost elbow allows the 03-04's to adjust the total amount of boost the turbo makes. Mine will make about 34-36 pounds with it on and adjusted for max pressure. But with out the boost fooler, the truck defuels after it goes past about 30 psi. With boost and fuel, you can get hp gains, but I don't know if anyone has ever dynoed one to find the exact number.

yes, the further you turn the screw in, the more it restricts the flow to the wastegate and there for makes more boost.
