2003 full exhaust choices

hey all, i have the muffler delete pipe from ginos for about 5 years. i have a 2003 SO with stock 4" from the turbo back. I just looked under the truck and my pipes looking pretty bad. i'd like to replace it with something but not sure what. I see the t-304 seems to be the one that lasts the longest but i'm unsure about brand or 4 or 5" and frankly the summit one for 1300$ is a bit much. I have no mods but think a smarty jr is in the future if that matters but no drastic mods beyond that are planned. i heard summit makes a reasonably priced 4" but wanted to check what you all thought before i purchase.

also, it looks like the mbrp t409 stainless comes with it's own muffler. if i go with one that has a built in muffler that is designed for 'maximum flow' i'd like to know that i can put my muffler delete pipe back on... although thinking about it, if i get a full stainless or aluminized pipe, i probably don't want to put the delete pipe back on as its much older.

hurry! before i choose stacks

I bought this system from summit:
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/MPE-17974/

I like it. Very loud under accel with the camper but mellows out to a perfect rumble running at 65-70mph.

ah thanks much. do you know if that's the t304 or t409 stainless?

i'm thinking about going w/ the MBRP t409 and then getting their muffler delete pipe if its too quiet.

It is 409. If you do any heavy towing, it is plenty loud. The magnaflow muffler has a 7"x24" case and is straight thru with packing around the center tube. Under heavy load in overdrive, the magnaflow puts out an awesome big-rig sound. I imagine the MBRP muffler would sound very similar. I run a MBRP 4-5" 304 stainless turndown(no soot on bumper) on my magnaflow system. Whatever brand you get, you need the system for an 2003-early 2004 with the 3.5 downpipe. Also, run the muffler for a few thousand miles before you decide to straight pipe. My magnaflow muffler got louder/deeper after it filled up with soot.

I've been thinking about changing my stock exhaust. In checking around and listening to different exhausts on youtube, I'm going with a 4" Diamond Eye (T409 with muffler) from Cobb's Performance ($337).
