20" wheels
I don't post here much, but I do a lot of searching.
I've been wanting to ditch the steel wheels for a while since I bought my truck, but I was waiting for the factory michelins to wear out. I searched and searched for pics around here, but didn't find a lot. So I figured I would throw this out there for anyone else that might be looking for the same thing.
I bought these.
20x10 eagle 114's 4.5" backspacing
305/55/20 nitto terra grapplers
2" HBS leveling kit
My Bilsteins from Geno's Garage are on backorder till the middle of the month.
I've got a little rubbing on the rear of the fender opening. I'll eleviate it this afternoon, with some creative fender rolling.
The tires hang out pretty far, so a lot of you guys won't like this setup. But it does look good and the load ratings are high enough that I can still pull my enclosed car trailer without worry.
3400lbs. for the wheels
3450lbs. for the tires.

The 18's will be cheaper in intial price and tires will be cheaper on down the road. I was debating between the two myself.
Honestly, I don't do any off roading other than riding through some fields, so I did this for looks. The size of the truck is decieving in that picture. I'm 6'2" and the top of the bed is almost at my shoulders. It's a monster. It has completely changed the look of my truck.

opening.
i was thinking the 305/55/20 combo was a ~33 tire and would clear with no leveling kit?
per this thread:
https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...8&page=2&pp=15
i am thinking the 20 will the standard size tire of the future - and that will make them cheaper in a few years. look at how many OEM's use then now, the Hemi and Ferd both have them
if you look at 16.5 size tires, they were popular once, but, they became an "odd" size, and now those tires are fairly expensive.
i think that will happen to 17/18 in a few years, and 20 will the norm
opinions?

This is with the leveling kit. It only hits at about 2/3 turn. If you can get the tire past that, it clears fine. It's mostly just the fender liner slapping the lugs on the tire. I'm going to move it back some with at Louisville slugger and it should be fine.
If the wheels had another .5" of backspacing, they wouldn't hit anything.

20's
mtedwards,
I have 20's along with a 6" lift with 37" toyo's when we first put them on they would rub where you are talking about there is a bolt in the fender well that is in front of the bottom of the door. You can loosen that and push the fender back some. Just make sure that you can still open your doors without the door hitting the fender.
Here is a pic also

I clearanced the fender today and did a little wheeling. No more rubbing issues. I did figure out that the terra grapplers wont' do much in thick mud.
