Just kidding... I change them every 15k miles no matter what.....
Probably could extend that quite abit, but ya know about the cheap insurance thing....
I would say you could extend those by more than quite a bit. I have a 127-7949 Cat fuel/water separator followed by a 1R-0749. I wouldn't think 30k would be at all out of the question, but as you said it is cheap insurance.

yes I used the same filter head for both. I cut an old one apart just to see what kind of filter was inside. (on a side note that canister is steel while the 1R0749/1R0750 are alum)

Just got my GDP MK-2 + big line kit installed. Took my time and primed the system an extra once or twice to play it safe. In total it took 3.5 hours, but I was talking with other folks in the garage. I assembled the filter head the night before.

So far so good, no leaks and no stumbling. The kit is well made and fits perfectly under the intake elbow. Well worth the ~$200.

I take ir you still have factory fuel system from the tank??
I have been lookin at one of these, but didn't want to have to spend a bunch on lift pump upgrade.
It would look nice under my GDP intake.

Yeah, stock lift pump. Folks have said it is fine if you use the big line kit w/ the MK-2. I plan on getting a fuel press. gauge and tapping into the line from the 2 mic filter to the cp3.

If I do upgrade the lift pump, it'll be when i do exhaust/intake/bigger turbos. Which is a ways down the road. I just want stock performance for now w/ better fuel, oil, and air filtering to increase engine longevity.
