12 volt vacuum pump for Jacobs E-brake

Has anyone successfully mounted a 12 volt vacuum pump in place of the belt driven pump? My pump is shot and I want to build something with better reliability so I'm interested to know if others have done this yet.

If you buy the pump at cummins its around 140.

Yes thanks I was aware they were waaaay cheaper at Cummins but I am looking for something with better longetivity.

I do know of elec.vacuum pumps that are used as back ups on aircraft but way spendy its funny that VW rabbits used a diaphragm style pump and never had any trouble with them
