1/4 tank problem

Treadway,
The design of the 392 performance system leaves the stock pump in the system. To switch between the two you just have to reach up under the bed through the rear wheelwell and change connectors.
The power feed to the pump has a connector on it. When youre using the 392 this connector will plug into another connector that will send power to the relay controlling the 392's walbro pump. To change back you just move the power feed connector from the relay connector and plug it into the connector that feeds the stock in tank pump.
I thought about putting a switch in there to do this but I questioned the reliability of a switch up under the bed with its contacts potentially being exposed to salty water spray from winter roads. The glacier connector is a weather pack design that is sealed very well. I'd rather have to squirm a bit through the wheelwell and know it'll work instead of flipping a corroded switch and it potentially not working.
With all that said you could bring the switch into the cab but I just didnt want to go through that hassle. It still is possible to retrofit a switch on the pump system by fabing up a harness with the proper connectors just so it would be a plug in operation.
As far as valving. The glacier performance system has check valves that take care of everything for you.
Keep reading up on the instructions set I sent in that last link. It took me a time or two to get to understand just how everything works but Richard has everything in there. The instructions are great but sometimes they don't cover exactly why theres a check valve or connector in a certain location, they just tell you to put the item there.

I see what your saying... I took that the factory pump wires are cut and it no longer useable with out having to cut and splice again and I also thought you had to put a valve in to switch over what you were using.
