1/4 mile questions

Allright, me and some guys at work are makin some "donations" on what my truck will get in the 1/4 mile with my current mods. What do yall think that ill get. I beleive that ill be between 14.5 and 15 secs. They think that ill be around 16.5 sec. Any ways, they might be wrong or i might be wrong. Let me know what you think, good or bad. Also what hp/tq do yall think that i could get out of her at the dyno. Any tips or sugestions(settings and so on) will be greatly appreciated thanks in advance

If you can shift fast enough you should be in the high 14s to low 15s.

with an auto and a fat shaft 66 that cldl on cldl and tst on 5x ran 13.7 with horrible 60m fts,i think if you come off in 2nd and can row like a wild man you could go low 15s to high 14s

Dont take your foot off the accelorator when you shift then you wont loose all your boost either, not very nice to the clutch and the tranny but it will make you faster.

Depending on your rearend. Mine in my truck is a 4 10. I take off in 3 gear skip 4th gear hit 5 th and then 6. 3 shifts. 3 5 6 simple once you get used to it. Dont know what 1/4 mile times are but Im stock and Ive beet 3 Duramax auto with 120 hp edge in them. Take off in third 4hi run your rpms up to 2500 drop the clutch hit 5 shift 4hi out hit 6th . Your gone.. Try it youve got more torgue on take off then what you think. I ll bet youll be in the low to mid 14s.

I'm not sure about hand shakers but if you switch the 4wd out going down the 1/4 it wont come out, and if you have a manuel t-case good luck...

MY setup with a stock clutch with the edge on 5 and the stock tires my best is a 15.7 says the edge monitor. Start in 4 low rev it up till you got 10psi boost and start in 3rd gear. Right after you shift into fifth I pop it out of 4x4 and keep her pegged. I never had any problems with this and other members do it to cause they taught me. I did however turn my clutch into a slipnslide. Its fun though.
I am interested to see what happens when the new clutch, HOT program, tone ring, and new bigger tires .

Oops mustve been thinkin bout sled pullin a Festiva or somethin. DONT try that in 4LO. Hope nowbody ran out and tried that. While were at it let me say that you dont need to try to drop the clutch in 4high in 4th gear. That makes the clutch smell like a microed cat.
