1/4 et estimate
just wondering what you guys think i could run in the 1/4. i tried using the hp calculator on comp d but i dont know my actual weight. i know my 0-60 is around 4.8 and 0-100 is 12. i also have 315/70/17 tires.
im going to be racing a guy with a 07 shelby gt when he gets a chance, it comes with 320hp. do you think i could take him?

I don't know everything you have done to your truck, but I think the mustang will win. He has half the weight of your truck and 320 hp. I think you will need 600 hp just to stay even. You'll give him a run, but taking him, I don't think so. At the track, strange things can happen, launch in 4 high and see what the results are. Just do not bet pink slips.
Hook up 5000 pound trailers to each vehicle and then race.

sorry if im beating a dead horse here its just hard for me to understand how a car that runs 0-100 in 12.9 would be that close of a race if i can get to 100 almost 1 full second faster do those cars have that much of a better top end?

It has a lot to do with 60 ft times, and how well your truck makes speed earlier in the strip.
For example, I raced a guy that had a lighter truck than me with tires suited better for the track. His trap speed was 97-ish, and he beat me by about a 10th of a second. My trap speed was 108-109-ish. He ate my lunch on the short end, but I ran him down in the big end.
This is the vid, I did not get his trap speed or time, but he was just barely beating me.
Wish I would have taken off the 35's when I got there and ran my street tires...

well i went to the track tonight and ran a best of 13.3@103. my best 60' was 2.07 with between 10-15psi and seemed like the higher boost i left at the slower it was. 15+psi and my 60' went to 2.1-2.2. are those 60' times about right for what i have? is there anything i can do to get it under 2?
