Question '07 SRT-10 "Night Rider" Headlight Assembly

I have the 2006 SRT "Night Rider" headlights on my truck; however, the new '07 stock headlights are MINUS the stupid Amber strip at the bottom of them. Does anyone know if the '07 SRT's are as well? If so, I am going to need to do a little swap-out!

Thanks,
D.Wiggs

Hey D., if you get it done I would be interested in buying your '06s.

So you have this style...

...and you are wanting to know if the 07 lights are sans the amber strip? Either way those are some killer looking lights!

That is exactly what I am wanting to know. I am definitely looking to go sans strip! And yes, they really did a good job in changing the look of the front end.

I'm reasonably sure that SRT-10 production has ceased. That being said, there may still be a "night-runner" available on the 07' 1500.

I was able to build an 06 night-runner on Dodge.com, but there was no such option available when I built an 07.

Good luck on your search.

Regards

the rice boys have been taking their lights apart and painting them for years,
they usually put halo lights in.

even the Camaro guys got in the game.

you just bake them in a oven to separate, spray paint,
reheat, back together.

heres a cool way to lose the strip:
paint over it, inside the glass:

No 07 SRT10 Production------Look into the 07 1500's!! I would think that they are going to carry this option into 07!

I was wondering the same thing D. so i tried to build an 07 night runner on the website and could not. I could however, still build an 06 night runner. I hope the website just wasnt up to date and 07 will still offer the night runner cause i too want them without the amber strip.

I was going to suggest this. You can use a heat gun, too. Once you get the lens apart, you can probably just take the amber strip out. It will look much better without that part, no matter which way you decide to do it.

Most definitely. The only problem is once you take a headlight assembly apart, it never seals up the same again. You often have moisure problems and other issues. That's my only worry.

Just drill a real small weep hole in the bottom of the lens assembly to let any moisture out.
