07 5.9 bully dog programmer

ok hope i am in the right place here.... just bought a 07 with the bully dog power pup programmer on it. When i test drove it it was raining so didnt really get to see what it would do with no traction. The previous owner told me it was turned all the way up with the programmer and it was on a "crazy Larry" setting? truck has a valair single disc clutch so i doubt i will be having clutch problems anytime soon. my real questions are Is the power pup a reliable tuner? i have always heard of different tuners not really mingling with certain trucks and engines. Also do i need to worry about breaking stuff with this tuner? i pull a lot of good sized loads on the trailer and dont wanna twist an input shaft off or something. Also i know on my old second gen i needed to worry about fuel pressure and not having a big enough fuel delivered do i need to be concerned with this truck too? Thanks all

Although not a favorite of most, the Bully Dog is a great basic programmer. I am pretty fond of mine . Crazy Larry will "get after it", however, keep your foot in it and you can watch the EGTs climb faster than the speedo. Pre compound build, I could bury a 1600* pyro at will. Your 3rd gen can deliver plenty of fuel in stock form to keep Crazy Larry very happy. If your going to be towing heavy or towing at all, break out the box, and select the 40 hp tow setting. If your using Crazy Larry without a pyro, your flirting with disaster .

Not sure how diffferent power pup is from my Bully PMT, but i keep mine on 'perfgormance' most of the time and set it to Tow when doing just that. Even with a pyro, i dont have a need for Crazy Larry. Maybe if i ever hit the dyno again, but i already hit 450hp/700tq with my 2005 3rd gen.
Reliable? id have to say yes, ive had NO issues with it since install about 7 yrs ago.
