I have a Buddy that has and 06 dodge and the truck has been running rough...he has had a bunch of different tuners and chips recently in the past and needless to say has run the CRAP out of it..He sent his computer to PPE and they reprogrammed it and he stuck it back on and started it and it run for about 5 seconds and shut off..we pulled it to the dodge dealership and they reset the key to the computer and it still wouldnt start,so we gave it a couple squirts of starting fluid and it fired up....idles good but when you rev it up and let off it acts like it wants to keep going...drive it down the road and it kinda misses..even with starting fluid it starts hard...Do you think he has injector problems???

 

Sounds more like a rail p., cp3/FCA issue with the running off stuff, did he set any codes? Specifically, 0148 and does it rattle badly? Hard to diagnose without seeing it. Jay

 

when he 1st put the computer back on and it run and shut off it threw like 20 diff codes,but you could be right on the FCA,I never thot about that...would that make it run a little rough cruisin down the road??would it also make it start hard??

 

Sounds to me like there is a leaky injector/injectors

 

were thinking injector problems too but will find out 2day as we are taking it to are local performance diesel shop
