Two questions...

1. Can you get by without the hanger?

2. What did you have to do to get the muffler off?

I have the same pipe you do but have not installed it yet. It seems the factory overtightened the clamp an squeezed the pipe and the muffler does not want to come off. I did not want to destroy the muffler though.

The hanger......

When you see you are replacing a 60 lb hunk of junk with light single piece of pipe, you'll see why there is no hanger.

A lot of people have commented on how the Geno's pipe has one, RPM doesn't. I didn't think twice about it.

Getting the muffler of is a JOKE. I used an air chisel and three pound beater.

The factory clamps have the pipe so smashed, it's a chore to get it off and preserve the inside pipe (but CAN be done!)

Yes, RPMOutlet sells it with no hanger, I made my own hanger.

To remove the muffler I used an angle grinder to put 3 cuts about 3 inches long in the muffler pipe on each end, don't cut all the way through to the exhaust pipe, then ran a screwdriver between the muffler pipe and the exhaust pipe to loosen it up and the wiggled it off.

Installed my RPM delete pipe today. I am not too happy as it seems to have needed an extra inch or two. The factory pipes had less than two inches of overlap to begin with and I had to leave some of that off each end to get the pipe to work. I even maxed out the hanger travel to gain some steel but I am still not happy with the fit. For the money they get, I think they should not be so stingy on pipe. Even if it were too long for some people, there is plenty of room on both sides so that it would not have been a problem at all.

Well I got two muffler delete pipes in the garage right now, I am installin one on an 07 and one on an 06. I will likely be next week until I get it done though. I am also gonna "test" the cat on a differant 07 and leave the factory muffler and see what kinda sound we get outa that.
