It sounds like my dads 04 when you are stock but it has a lot more rattle when on smarty#9 but that is expected. I think you should are fine, if youre extra worried check your oil and smell it for diesel smell and if the level gets higher then you have a bad injector but if not then dont worry.

It doesnt idle rough or white smoke it just has a knock or a ticking sound. Ive taken to two dealers now to try to get to the bottom of it and they say its carbon build up on the injectors. They said a injection cleaning will help but it is $100 didnt know if I should get that or not or would I juse me giveing them my money cause its not covered under the warn.

That is correct! I don't have that injector tick/knock that these 3rd gens seem to have. Increased mileage and the truck idles smoother. I've noticed when I don't run the 2-stroke (when I add Stanadyne) the injector tick/knock surfaces.
Are oil supplier has an 06 and he's taken it it many of times for the tick/knock, I told him about the 2-stroke and pretty much eliminated it after 1 tank.
I add 1 quart every fill-up. Every 4-5 tank fulls I run Stanadyne through it just to clean any sort of carbon build up that may have occurred. I'm using the Walmart TCW-3 2-stroke. A gallon is about $8 bucks.
I would recommend Howe's additive. It seems uys around here have had issues with it, rough idle, white smoke.

I did run some cleaner through mine and guess what, KNOCK KNOCK now. After reading many posts here, I was wondering if there is value to running a lubricater instead of a cleaner, or possibly vise/versa? Maybe the aftermarket setup of a particular truck would deem which one is neccassary(if at all)? Just a random thought.
