trying not to break tha bank is kind of an oxy moron when you have one of these trucks and since I will be ordering the smarty and quad recon xzt I need an air intake mod to make it work properly what is the best bang for the buck or can I get enough out of just swiss cheesing the existing box?

AFE is probably most popular but also most expensive. I like my AEM because it uses a dry filter and seems to flow good. it was one of the cheaper complete kits I found that include tube and filter. There are several do it yourself mods that are much cheaper that you can find out about by searching on here. *****'s Whistler is one good example. Hope this helps.
