Just to be clear this is NOT a HTS program as others have eluded but a Bully Dog program and nothing against HTS but any of the top tranny builders can build you a tranny to take it. Just have your local dealer ask for the 2.2.9 program only available on the Triple Dog. Al told me it was available on the '03 and up. Now we didn't talk about a more subdues program, i.e. the standard BDDL but it follows that it too would be available but you need to ask them. Enjoy!!
So is it the Ultra Crazy Larry or the regualr Crazy Larry that will be available for 03 and up and will it be 230hp or does it just disable tourqe management on the automatics.

I was talking to Al Johnson at Bully Dog and specifically we were talking about the Ultra or Scary Larry unit but it seems to me if they have the advanced program ready then they would have the base model available. I'd say you need to get it from them as to which one or both is available next week.

As far as I understand the thing that makes the new Ultra Crazy Larry "Ultra" is the new features. The 2 I know of are Torque Management Removal, and some added Low End Power. I heard both of these will be available on all automatic vehicles 03-06 and it will be available on both Regular Triple Dog, and Crazy Larry. So it should improve any automatic tune you currently have.

I know 1 guy running his 03.5 Auto with Extreme that has the added Low End Removed right now, he claims it was developed to help out the pre-600 trucks originally, but it just happened to help out the 600 truck even more than they currently were.

The newest version 2.2.9 has the increased throttle response option as well as the torque management removal. The TQ management removal is in the other functions section and needs a code to activate it. However, it has no where near the power of the "Scary Larry" tune.

Yeah, thats the Regular Version of the Triple Dog. When you combine that with the Crazy Larry Upgrade, you get "Scary" Larry.

Which just answered my question. We will not get any more power for the 305/555 crowd. Only some software updates . Looks like I'm ditching Bullydog all together now, and I'll be going with the Diablo Predator! They seem like the only ones looking after us red headed step chilren

If you think just any top notch tranny builder can build you a tranny to take the abuse of not having tq man, read the thread on TDR. Full Billet Suncoast gave it up...

Luken , I dont belong to the other side , so I cant see that..... But I am gonna say I was at the Truck drag and pulls in Redding CA yesterday, and watched a 06 dump a trans on the strip. later I heard this guy also was running the Scary Larry and he also rebuild his own tranny out of the truck with all suncoast stull with no previous experience in trans building. he did leave a nice mess. So I wouldnt put any attention to that being a Suncoast trans. just the components.

I would imagine these transmissions probably had something wrong with them from the start and the problem just now reared it's ugly head under pressure. Probably just a fluke. Some of us have been able to disable torque management for a long time now and we haven't blown any transmissions yet.

Someone mentioned low pressures...i think thats why the stock trannies used to take a crap, lots of low end power and no tranny pressure to aid it. Seems to be a real monster. does anyone know if the Scarey Larry tune will work with 05 6 speeds? that will be my next addition to my garage.
