I think you will find that when you add a lot of fuel, they do that. My truck does the same thing. Guys say it is from the overload of pressure in the fuel rail and it needs to go somewhere. My Edge did it, Bully, and now Smarty

Easier said than done with a DD clutch. You have all that mass you are trying to slow down with the synchro designed for a single disc. Usually the engine rpms drop combined with the clutch being disengaged makes for a decent shift.
I feel your pain. That is why I tear up singles and wont go double. I dont sled pull but drag race and a fast shift is critical. Unfortunately that was a compromise you made when you went to a double disc. Hasileys street drag is supposed to have very light discs and is still a double. I doubt you want to drop another 1700 to help out with your shifting though.

I feel ya too, mine hangs up there every time i get near the 3500 area and will rev to 3700 or so and just stay there for a few seconds. I try to avoid going over 3k for that reason, its aggrevating to say the least. So you named off a few tuners that youve experienced this with- well add the PPE to the list- i agree it has to do with having lots of fuel built up in the rail. If there are any tricks around this: im to listening.

A buddy of mine has 03 6-spd and when he first bought it with 130,000 miles bone stock, it had the same problem. I think its something besides just programmers. I think it's some kind of code the ecm is throwing or something. It still does it now with his diablo pred/puck stack.
