~$32 Grid Heater Delete~
Picked up this used Grid heater $32 Shipped..I gutted the heaters out and smoothed the inside corners down with some sanding barrels. I also tapped the holes with 1/8" NPT's and plugged them...the two top holes did not even need to be drilled...just ran the tap through a little.
I have not installed it but it ought to net about the same results as other deletes....all tho the other ones look dang cool and this one looks......eh.

Ok, thanks, airflow was pretty much what I was guessing, just wanted to make sure. I think I'll suffer with the 6 hp loss, I use my grid heaters way too much to do without.

53, Yours is actually better because most of the other deletes are slightly different heights so you need to drop in spacers to get them tight....I've started my truck at -20 degrees C with no gridheaters.....truck doesn't like it but it started....at -33 C the fuel was gelling even with anti-gel so I had to plug it in at night so everything would go. I have one and love it....when you do it remove the wiring harness from the heaters all the way to the relay next to the pass battery.
I have found that if I dont wait when I first kick the key on in the morning I dont get a CEL. When I wait for more than 4-5sec then it sets a soft code.
I live in the Bay Area and have started down to 35* with no problem at all. I am going to the Sierras this weekend where it can get down to the teens and twenties right now, so I will post info on Sunday or Monday...
Plus grid deletes look SWEET!!!

I'd like to throw on a CFM+ Intake and do the grid-delete....just gotta get some cash set aside which is tough right now because well ::cough:: I'm gettin' married ::cough::
