What about if I was to put some kind of different tank vent? Could I then remove that grey factory vent? Im asking because I want to plumb both the AD feed and return line into the canister..

I don't see why not, but..................................

I would not suggest the AD return line being plumbed into the casnister because you are almost defeating the purpose of having the AD pump IMO. A better solution I believe is to return the fuel from the CP3 into the canister, there is less air in that return line and the warm fuel almost burns better!!!!!!

IIRC the AD can separate some where around 80% air and still be efficient...so sucking up AD return fuel is harmless...and I would say way better then sucking up the CP3 return fuel.I asked Charlie about this before I ever modded my canister to have AD return plumbed in.

Are you sure warm fuel burns better...it is less dense...so less BTU per volume? I am sure its temp skyrockets in the CP3 anyways...so I would like charge the CP3 with as cool of fuel as possible without viscous problems.

PEAKSTRYDE - Any new news on this modification? Is it still working out, or have you run into any problems? I've been trying to find the time to do this on my truck. But between building my new offroad toy Samurai and the finishing touches on my 250R rebuild, my time is just to little. Anyways, I'm still looking to try this out. Any more input would be helpful. Thanks in advance, James

Wow, this is interesting, first time I've seen it, (was fishing when it was posted). with all the other canister mods posted on here this must be plan E on how to do it!

I had my Liberty canister hooked up to everything in a 5 gallon pail of diesel with the truck running and I saw no "swirling" going on in the canister with my AD100. The AD fuel was not hot at all.

I plumbed my AD return back into the canister and cured the problems that way (link in my signature), it works great with less than an inch of fuel in the tank. If I was to install an AD 150 I'd do like I did but install another draw straw to feed the AD.

Part of the deal with the engine return is it helps draw fuel into the canister normally which now you don't have. Also I wonder if drilling more holes in the bottom of the canister could mean there's more fuel flowing out of it when you get low on fuel going up or down hills, cornering etc.

You say you go down as low as 5 PSI? What do you get normally? Was that tank vent always where you show it Mine only has 2 of them on the tank.

Someone should make a see through tank so we all can see exactly what's going on in there when we're driving!
