vss speed sensor signal location?

Is there any speed sensor signal on the vehicle, whether it be from a wheel or trans or axle, that is not busses/multiplexed, for measurement? Or are all the sensors incorporated into the CAN protocol, and not available for frequency a measurement?

Thanks
James

I'd also like to ask if the VSS is where a Superlift Truspeed indicator would tap into to adjust the speedometer.

Your speed sensor signals are hardwired to the abs controller & then bussed out

The VSS should be located on top of the rear diff. At least it is on my 99. I think it is still in the same place.
