Well the difference now is that the computers are looking for a dynamic response. It the old days it was just WOT give it EGR. Now the computer looks at intake temp, boost pressure, fueling etc. etc. etc. and determines how much EGR. Adding a diode or resister will fool it at one stage, but then it will still throw a code some where else.
Actually it is getting there, it just takes a lot more time to work out the bugs.

So some day?

Thing is with the thing off do I still get the after shot of fuel into the exhaust? Poor miles/gallon and wast of fuel etc that the complete computer package calls for. Like Diesel Lady says it may take more than this ole redneck and comprehend.

We just need our own computer flash (AZ?) to install that corrects all this stuff, not just foolers. Way easier said than done. Maybe an aftermarket computer... Then we need to be able to reflash the thing back stock or plug the stock one back in.
Someone needs to hack Crysler and get what is needed before they bite the big one. Or, maybe if they do, the information needed to do so will then leak out.

Only person I ever heard of even getting a ticket was on this website. The cop pulled over a truck that was speeding and the person pulled over gave the cop all sorts of lip. Hence, he got a ticket for speeding and a ticket for no cat... And of note, the cop that pulled the guy over was a member on this website....
