Thumbs up strictly sled pulling the 6.7

Ok, I'm an avid drag racer... always have been. i'm wanting to get into the sled scene and have done my homework... big money.
I don't want to have a common 5.9 truck.
I want to take a problematic 6.7 (friend who is dealer can cut me a deal...)
and set it up to pull and show that 6.7's aint so bad.

Any suggestions on mods? it will not be highway driven, strictly pulling and the occasional drag run.
obviously the computer must be fooled for the exhaust... thinking fab up a hole in hood if that's feasable.
I love manuals but the new auto is really nice... and faster.
Any intake suggestions? what all can a good chip fool to get this truck as strong as possible? any aftermarket heads, is boring the block out of the question with such a hyped up emissions computerized rig?

Thanks for all your help guys.

you need to talk to Shawn at IDP. He can easily get you in the 550hp range on the ground. What you are going to find is a problem with getting more air to the engine. But i think he will be the fellow to talk to

Also Shane at Bay Area Diesel Performance should be able to help you also.

I pulled against a 6.7 auto last fall that had a Edge Juice. For being a near stock truck I was impressed with it. The auto looked like it did a good job of shifting. I still out pulled him by 70 feet or so but like I said I was impressed!!
I would go for 4.10's with the auto if going with the 6.7.
