I am getting a message on the overhead “Service Required, See dealer Now”
Is there anyway to cut this off without going to the dealer?
I am running a Smarty, and no codes are showing up. I talked to the dealer, and he said this is just a message to get you to come into the dealer.
I do not want to take it in, as I will have to uninstall the Smarty, so they can hook up to it, and cut the message off, then I will have to reinstall the Smarty Program.
Surely there is some way to cut this message off!

 

So, it almost sounds like they are advertising now in these trucks. Maybe if you wait long enough, it might offer a coupon for 10% off?

 

Set parking break, Turn key to run (do not start) press go pedal 3 times slowly within ten seconds turn key off. Turn key back to run and it should go away. Usually its a oil change warning if no codes. Worked for me when it came on and got the oil changed at dealer and they forgot to reset the warning.
