well, picked truck up today, wonderfully is a 84" cab to axle, not 60" so the bed wouldnt fit ,dealers screw up and they dealer traded it from kentucky so now i have a rusty ball plate mounted to the frame with some rigged up mudflaps mounted to sticks of angle iron across the frame. O well, i guess it will ride better b'n longer but now i have to wait a month for a bed and drive around pulling my trailer with a setup that makes me feel more at home as a redneck. plus the bed is about 400 bucks more! the dealer did cover half of the cost of the differnce and wrote me a check back for 200 so i guess they tried. o well, more room for hay!
and by the way, exhaust brake makes me smile , something wierd about it though, sitting idling, with it off it still comes on i guess to warm the engine, but when you open the door, turns off, shut door again on, open off???? lol crazy stuff, whistles pretty loud for air box and stock exhaust, can only imagine with muffler delete, cold air, and silencer ring mia if it has one!

You will be glad you got the long wheelbase before long. There is a world of difference in the ride. Don't expect it to run like your 05 does with the mods you have on it. You will have to be happy with it stock until someone comes out with something that will work on the 6.7. Mine does just fine the way it is now. I figure where I'm going will be there when I get there, besides, 5 mph makes a world of difference in the fuel mileage.

eb290 I clicked on your user name, and profile. The pictures you have of the silver truck, is that a Bradford built flatbed? If so, how do you like it? I’ve been doing a little research on them. There is a dealer about 50-miles south of me; I just might have to run down there to take a look see!

No, it is a J&I Manufacturing bed out of Mandill, OK. It is the second bed I have gotten from them. They are good stout beds.

hey eb 290
ive got a question for ya, my trailer brakes work if i use the switch on the box, but dont with the pedal, bought the prodigy controller with the harnes u just plug into the truck and into the box, no connections made by me at all and i wired the hoppy i have in my 05 and its fine, i know its something with the truck, the truck isnt sending a message from the pedal to the box, but the brake lights come on with the pedal, but not with the box?
any help much appreciated
thanks

I really don't know. If the harness is for a Dodge it should work. Does it work in your 05? I changed my Brakesmart from my 03 to the 07 with no problem at all. Everything was the same. I've been running the same controller on the last three trucks so it has been a long time since I've fooled with any others. You might post that question on the towing and RV? section. There are a lot of people there that know a lot more about that subject than I do.

Thanks eb290 , I did a google search for their web site. I have been there in the past. It looks like you have the “Ranch Hand” model? Have to do a little more research to see if J&I has a dealer here in the North West. Here is a picture of the Bradford bed I’m interested in, which are sold just south of me. An 8-foot long bed goes for 1,800.00 $ Will have to get a quote for a 9-foot 4-inch bed which will fit the 2007 Dodge cab & chassis.
